Advanced Wireless and GPS Technology
At the heart of the StreetPilot c550 is a high-sensitivity WAAS-capable GPS receiver by SiRF that provides outstanding acquisition times and the ability to maintain a strong signal under heavy foliage and near city skyscrapers. This means you’ll always know precisely where you are. Meanwhile, an automotive-grade, sunlight-readable, 2.8 x 2.1-inches (WxH) anti-glare TFT LCD touch-screen display offers easy readability. With dimensions of 4.4 x 3.2 x 2.2-inches (WxHxD), and at about nine ounces in weight, the StreetPilot c550 features a streamlined design that will fit easily on any dashboard with the included vehicle suction mount. The unit also features Garmin Lock — an advanced anti-theft feature that disables the unit from performing any functions until you type in a specific four-digit PIN or take the unit to a predetermined location.

The StreetPilot c550 also includes Bluetooth technology integrated with a microphone and dual speakers that lets you make hands-free mobile phone calls on a compatible Bluetooth wireless phone. You can view incoming calls on your c550, and simply tap the screen to answer. Just speak into the built-in microphone while staying focused on your driving. In addition, you can retrieve and dial numbers from your personalized phone book or the phone’s call history log. You can also make calls from the more than six million points of interest database — which includes hotels, restaurants, stores, and much more.

Another feature unique to the c550 is its integrated traffic capabilities. The c550 includes the GTM 20, an integrated FM TMC traffic receiver with a free three-month trial subscription (for U.S. customers only). The GTM 20 notifies you of traffic conditions, construction and weather delays, and automatically suggests alternative routes. The navigator also comes with preloaded maps of Europe or North America and includes automatic routing, 2D or 3D map perspective, and turn-by-turn voice directions that speak street names — making navigation as easy as it gets. An included MP3 player lets you enjoy music from your digital collection while you drive, and an included SD memory card expansion slot means that you can load optional software, such as language and travel guides — making travel even easier and more entertaining than ever.

Right out of the box this GPS was easy to use and very helpful. I just returned from Phoenix, AZ. and this GPS was so very helpful. I originally bought it for my other half who is very low tech. She even loves this GPS. I am thinking of buying another for our oldest daughter and me to share for when we have to go out of town. I am giving it 5 stars. This is the only GPS I have ever owned so I cannot compare it to anything else but why would I need anything else when I am happy with this one.
Customer Review: First time GPS Owner – Very impressed
I purchased this as my first GPS for a family vacation. Researched quite a few and decided upon the c550 because of brand name and simplicity. Overall a great little device, very intuitive, easy to use. Got us to where we wanted to go “most (99%)” of the time. Two preprogrammed locations, a Toy Train museum in PA and a restaurant in GA were way off. The first landed us at a very nice Amish farmers house – not many toy electric trains there and the second, for the restaurant, in an office park. Both locations several miles off. I’ll report the details on the Garmin page to see if future updates make corrections. Only one additional trip point can be added to a trip but you can change them out as you go. Apparently with MapSource products by Garmin, purchased separately, you can add more – I’m not clear on this – still learning the difference between waypoints, trip points, points of interest, etc. At any rate I hope this is changed in future updates. The Bluetooth sync’d to my phone and works very well as a speaker phone. It has MP3 capability but in my opinion you get better sound quality from an old AM transistor radio and this is just a feature I will not use. The provided mounting is a bit cumbersome. I would prefer it come with a friction mount, an available option, but the suction devices do work. I’ll be adding an optional friction mount… The voice directions are very computer like sometimes the pronunciation is off but is usually understandable. The GTM 20 Traffic Message Channel is extremely convenient and does a great job of helping to avoid traffic jams. Overall I really like my new gadget! Update: C550 GTM 20 Blowing its Fuse The following is a problem I am having with the GTM 20 integrated FM TMC (Traffic Message Channel) traffic receiver, antenna and cigarette lighter adapter supplied with the c550. I have reported this via email and telephone to Garmin. The Garmin Tech – who was very helpful – said this is a first and is exchanging the GTM 20 for one from the factory. Here is the reported issue: “The GTM 20 supplied with my new c550 blows its fuse every time I plug it into either of my vehicles, car and van, lighter outlets. The fuse blows with or when power is applied to the lighter outlet regardless of whether or not the c550 is attached. I returned my orgianl brand new c550 to Circuit City because after 2 weeks of flawless performance it started exhibiting this behavior. Now, out of the box this c550’s GTM 20 is doing the same. All other 12v adapters for phone, etc work properly in both vehicles. As noted above the c550 I just returned worked perfectly for about 2 weeks, in both automobiles and now this new, out of the box c550s GTM 20 is doing the same thing.” FURTHER UPDATE: I received the replacement GTM 20 for my c550 directly from Garmin and it is working perfectly in both vehicles, it has not blown its fuse yet. The first GTM 20 worked for about 2 weeks, the second failed right out of the box. Both units came from the same Circuit City store. While waiting for the replacement GTM I purchased a standard Garmin 12 volt car adapter and it works correctly in both vehicles. I’m sure Garmin engineers designed and completely tested the GTM 20 before going to production and that in the lab and all subsequent evaluations it performed to standard. If my latest GTM 20 continues to work then I believe Garmin may have a defective lot of GTM 20s out there. If this new GTM fails after a few weeks of use then I believe there potentially may be an issue with their manufacturer. I would encourage you to call Garmin tech support if you experience this, endure the wait – enjoy the on hold music, and report your issue. I spoke with a gentleman named Scott and he was very helpful. I did receive a response from the initial e-mail inquiry I sent their tech support and basically they said they had never heard of the problem, have a great day…. Telephone was the way to go.

Customer Review: great gun, dont buy it here
ok first off DO NOT BUY IT OFF OF THE INTERNET. Go to academy walmart dicks sporting good store but not here.Second there are newer and beter versions of this that i’ve seen for the same price at a store. The newer models come with a more powerful pistol a high capasity clip for the s32p and a sticky target. Now about the actual guns the p36 is probebly worth between 8 & 12 dollars so its not to great but hey it comes with a shotgun that to me is worth about as mutch as the whole kit.The s32p is awsome 350 fps three ris rails and you can hold down the triger and it will fire as fast as you can pump. Althow you absolutly have to use .20 gram bbs or higher because even with the hop up off the .12 grams will fligh into the air.With .20 grams it is very acuerit and domanats over any other shotgun i’ve gone against.Another thing is that it has a few good metal parts which make it very durable i’ve had it for 7 months and used it frecuantly with out any problems.overal great gun if you can get it for under 55$ because above that there are beter guns.

this kit rocks. pros looks awsome pistol is very accurate with the shotgun hold down the trigger and you only have to pump shotgun is easy to pump ……………………………………………………………… cons with .12g bbs, the shotgun is very wild, i HIGHLY recomend .20g or heaver glasses fog shotgun clip only holds 20 bbs shotgun is only around 300+ fps with .20g bbs ………………………………………………………………. this kit rocks! buy it!

Customer Review: Best instant water heater
I wanted an instant water heater for my apartament, as I live in a hot climate this was a perfect option, instalation was very easy, I had to put 60 amp brakers and it works wonderful, I replaced an old 40 gallon tank that was broken, now I have space available and spend less energy, this little thing give endless hot water but you have to be sure you have the correct wires to bear 50 amps of the unit. Excellent product.

Customer Review: This crazy thing plays Hybrid SACD’s!!
When my old DVD player started dying, this RCA unit was on sale at Meijer, and since I was looking for an inexpensive DVD player which was compact, this one immediately stood out (the fact that it could rip CD’s was not anything to sneeze at, either). There haven’t been any problems whatsoever with the unit, and after picking up a Hybrid SACD, imagine my surprise and delight that this inexpensive little DVD player played it! If you can get your hands on one of these ittle babies, you won’t be disappointed!
Customer Review: Deceptive Description
I purchased this product because I wanted a DVD player with TVGuardian. The description of this product lead me to believe that the TVGuardian was already activated. It was not. In order to activate it, I had to pay a fee of $29.95 to TVGuardian. I want to forewarn potential buyers of this deceptive product description. Otherwise, this DVD player has worked well although I have only used it a few times.

Customer Review: Best Blu-Ray Player You Can Buy
With so many decent players now in the 100-200 dollar price range it was a little hard to justify the 500 dollar price tag. Once you turn this on you realize this isn’t your average blu-ray player. The menus are clean, responsive, and EVERY change can be done on the fly while the movie is playing in the background. This was very useful when setting up my sound because I could compare differences in the settings without stopping the disc. I’ve used other blu-ray players where I put in a blu-ray disc and have to wait several minutes just to see something pop up on the TV. This player is so fast I’ve never had to wait more than 20 seconds for a movie to load. Amazing. Yes, if you have a 400 dollar generic TV I wouldn’t go out and buy this player. Go buy a Panasonic BD60 for a fraction of the price. However, the Oppo is a videophile quality player for a fraction the price of its competitors. I plan on enjoying my Oppo for years to come.
Customer Review: Oppo BDP-83 outperforms most Players under $1200
Pro’s- Analog audio 7.1 outputs allows me to enjoy DTS-MA and Dolby TrueHD into my Yamaha analog 5.1 inputs, eliminating need to replace my pre-amp to one that decodes those codecs. Excellent 1080p24 video picture quality to my Pioneer 60″ Kuro Plasma PRO-151fd from Oppo Blu-Ray player, just as impressively upconverts DVD’s with amazing Anchor Bay video scaler inside Oppo player. Listening to Les Brown DVD-A followed by Pink Floyd SACD of Dark Side of the Moon followed by Chesky DVD-A Bucky Pizzarelli Swing Live…it doesn’t get any better. Con’s- Have two empty spaces in my equipment rack I need to fill as the Oppo BDP-83 replaced my Yamaha DVD-S1800 DVD-A/SACD/Upconverting DVD Player and my Sony Playstation 3. I would have spent hundreds more for this player if that was the asking price. A real E-Ticket ride experience.
